This building houses the 49-bed Poweshiek County Jail, 911 / dispatch, and offices for the sheriff, deputies, assistant county attorney, emergency management services, and the civil division.

The incremental payback for the increased cost of materials and construction associated with energy conservation is calculated at 3.3 years. Poweshiek County is scheduled to receive a rebate of $58,800 from MidAmerican Energy.
